The Weekend Past

The Phoenix Men played away at Melbourne Victory in the first leg of the semi-final of the play-offs on Sunday night. A composed Phoenix Men performance saw us coming away with a comfortable, very entertaining 0-0 draw. A simply outstanding defensive performance with just a little less cut breaking away than normal but we still created some good chances. The second leg is next Saturday, it’s beautifully posed and I’m hearing 17,000+ tickets have already gone, be there! Should be a decent away crowd also.

On Friday night in the other semi-final first leg Sydney FC had two men sent off as they lost 1-2 at home to Central Coast; gonna be a tough second leg:
