The Weekend Past
The Phoenix Men played away at an in-form, 3rd placed Macarthur replete with ex-Phoenix stars (Lewis, Davilla, Kurto), the Phoenix then had “key” players Kraev & Pennington declared injured, with Rufer joining the injured list in the warm-up, and Zawada only making the bench… so in come more youngsters Conchi, Hughes, Sheridan, along with recent loan-signing Costa Rican international Salas… and the Phoenix play with structure, discipline and flair to win 2-1, unbelievable! 5 Points clear at the top:

The Phoenix Women were without half the team thanks to the international games and went down 0-3 away at top placed Western United. They are now 9th (out of 12) and need some wins to get back into play-off contention:
