The Game Today

The Phoenix Women won in Porirua versus Adelaide United in the Weds afternoon sunshine. It was a reasonably even game until the Phoenix sneaked ahead and then ended up cruising to a 4-0 win. Great save from our keeper when we were 1-0 up, and a word of praise for Isabel Cox who looked outstanding up-front despite not scoring:

The win means the team move up to 8th spot on 25 points chasing 6th spot where Western Sydney currently reside with 30 points. With 2 games remaining, the Phoenix need to beat Canberra United away, then beat Western Sydney at home and hope Western Sydney and Newcastle Jets don’t pick up more points - could be a huge last game of the season in Porirua on the 30th March at 4pm!
