Women Out of Play-Offs
Easter is coming, and next week is a huge weekend of football in Wellington, be there, and also get into your diary the Phoenix Men v Melbourne Victory on Friday, April 12th at 7pm, it’s going to be huge.
The Weekend Past
The Phoenix Men did not play as the All Whites lost a friendly 0-1 away to Egypt with something like 6 or more Phoenix players in the squad, plus some of our old stars like Sarpreet Singh. Reminder re A-League Men’s Table: we’re top, but Central Coast have a game in hand, so with just 5 games left, the boys need to win, win, win to get their hands on our first ever trophy:
The Phoenix Women lost 0-1 away at bottom of the table Canberra United, because Western Sydney had won the night before they already knew they were out of contention for the play-offs which took the edge off the game somewhat. Still, they have far more points this season than in any other season, just got to sort out those away days. Just one more game left - this weekend in Sweet Home Porirua:
And the top part of the league table with one game to go:
