The Phoenix Brief - 29th April 2024

We love South Australia!

What a great Saturday night out watching the Phoenix Men beat Macarthur 3-0 in front of 15,000+ fans. But with Central Coast also winning, all eyes now go to the Weds night game between Central Coast and Adelaide. If Central Coast lose, then the Phoenix Men get their first silverware ever - the Premiership Plate.

Once the Premiership is decided, we’re into the play-offs and the Phoenix Men have now confirmed that they will be playing at home in the second leg of the semi-finals on Saturday, May 18th, with, possibly, the grand final the following weekend - they are sure to attract huge crowds so be sure to get tickets.

The Weekend Past

The Phoenix Men played at home to Macarthur in front of a big, raucous crowd. Macarthur had three old Phoenix stars playing - Kurto (in goal), Davilla (up-front), Lewis (midfield), but were never really in this game. Two excellent early goals from Kostas & Tim Payne settled any nerves, and the 3rd came from returning super striker Zawada from the penalty spot right at the end.

This is the table as of Sunday afternoon. Central Coast play Adelaide (nothing to play for) on Weds night to finish off the season…..
